Food is an important component of every build, as it has a large effect on what your max resources and sustain will look like. This article will go over all of the foods normally used in PVE and what situations you'd want to use them.
Types of Food
- Ghastly Eye Bowl / Lava Foot Saltrice - Common food for DPS and Healers. If you're running out of your primary resource and don't need any extra Max Health, this food is what you should use.
- Crunchy Spider Skewer / Candied Jester Coins - Uncommon food for DPS. If your build requires heavy use of your off-resource and you can't sustain it, this food works in a similar vein to Ghastly and Lava Foot.
- Max Health and Max Magicka/Stamina Food - Referred to as bi-stat food, this is the default food for DPS and Healers. If your sustain is fine, the extra Health from this food allows you to survive more combinations of damage ticks.
- Witchmother's Potent Brew / Dubious Camoran Throne - This is the middle-ground between Ghastly/Lava Foot and bi-stat food. Only use this if your sustain is suffering but you need the extra health to survive mechanics.
- Clockwork Citrus Filet / Artaeum Takeaway Broth - Fancier version of the above foods. The extra health regen is a minor benefit for a major cost increase, up to you if that is worth it.
- Bewitched Sugar Skulls - Best tri-stat food. Works great on tanks as it gives a lot of max resources while giving passive health recovery.
- Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch - The other good tank food. If you need recovery for your resources, you can use this and still get Max Health and health recovery. This also has niche use for healers in situations where you need a lot of stamina recovery due to mechanics + casting stamina skills.
- Jewels of Misrule - Cheaper version of the above food with no health recovery. Up to you if cost difference matters.
